I’m not going to give you a hacks, tricks or magic recipes – instead, I’m going to share with you some of the lessons I’ve learned from my own freelancing experience. Hopefully, some will work for you!
1. Be clear about your goals
2. Have a good portfolio
3. Find a mentor / coach
4. Get social media accounts
5. Do research on your target market / clients
6. Network with other freelancers / agencies
7. Take care of your health and wellbeing
With all that in mind, I would like to leave you with some final thoughts in what it means to be a professional. One of the biggest things that I’ve noticed is that a lot of people will get into freelancing with no clear idea of what they want to accomplish. They’ll take on way too many projects with no direction, just to get the money flowing into their bank accounts. While this might seem harmless at first, especially for the beginning freelancer, it can actually do a lot of damage to your work quality and habits if you let yourself fall into that trap. You need to be extremely clear about your goals from the start, and once you have them, evaluate for each being realistic enough for you or not.[rev_slider alias=”fashion-shop-slider1″ slidertitle=”Fashion Shop Slider1″][/rev_slider]
